Have been asked to activate a users OOO agent. user is on leave and has his laptop @ home. I have access to Notes Admin adn designer and can see users options in designer and have enabled his OOO.
What I need to do ideally is to put int he standard “I’m out of the office and will return on this date” message. Is there any way of doing this? I don’t have users notes password so can’t logon directly to his notes client. rather I’d have to add his database to my workspace and go from there.

is the users using iNotes template ? … what you could do . is change the user internet password in NAB … type DBcache flush on the server console ( to force the server to reread NAB ) and then logon to mail database using IE … you should be able to change the OOO there

Thanks for the very quick reply. Not sure what the iNotes template is, co can’t say if we are using it. I seem to have enabled the OOO by another way. But I will make a note of your answer for future reference.

No problem … iNotes mail template is dwa7.ntf … if user mail database is based on this … then you should be able to access via Web …IE
should be able to find out via Database Properties … 4 tab along … design tab

Do you have a Master Copy of the user’s ID?Do you have Password Checking on?
Clear the Password Cache in the Person Doc, switch to the Master ID, enable OOO, Clear Password Cache in the Person Doc (so they can login with their existing username/password).
