Subject: Have you tried restarting the Notes client?

I don’t know about the Mac version, but the Windows version of Notes 8.5 had a problem in beta where new locations weren’t usable until the Notes client was restarted. It’s possible the gold release of the Mac version has a similar problem.

Subject: Wow, All the Same even after Restart

Subject: Could not reproduce, could you help provide more data

Not reproduce this issue by QE. Could you provide the location doc in your names.nsf DB by following steps:

Click ‘Open/Contacts’ then select ‘Advance/location’ view.

Select the location doc in current DB and copy.

Then Press command+ O from keyboard to create a new names.nsf DB, settings as following picture),

Get to location view as step 1.

Paste the doc you copied in step 2 to current view, save and close.

Would you help provide the new DB you have just created to me?Attach to current feedback doc as a attachment, or mail me(zhengyi@cn.ibm.com)

Subject: Found the Issue…

I entered the field “Only for user” with the name instead of leaving the “*”.This filed is on the advanced tab. One can argue, that thus, he has to know what’s going on… on the other hand I need to use the Advanced tab in order to enter the switch to …id field, because that’s the purpose of me creating another Location.

Creating a Location you are never able to switch to seems not very reasonable, doesn’t it? Changign the “*” in this field needs a BIG warning in my opinion!

Thank you for evaluating!
