Orphan docs?

Hi there,

One of our users is trying to clean up his mail file.

From the all document view he is trying to discover the folder of a document and gets a message “the document does not exist in any folder” … any idea why ? i could move this to a test folder and then it showed the name of the test folder …

He may be having quite a few of these types of docs and now in order to save time he is asking me to create a view where these docs could be moved so later on he could decide whether he wants to keep them or delete …

I told him we don’t really meddle with the mail template, but he insists and says this is for temp use and the view could be deleted once he is done …

Any idea how to get around this without touching the template? so far i have not done any troubleshooting (was thinking on the lines of refresh views, template design replace, Shift+F9, delete cache.ndk) … but thought to check in the forum first …

Check the form, could be these are for iNotes use … like person/group docs. Or c&s docs …

You can create a view to show only documents not in any folder. This will not changr the template, but add another design element directly into this user’s mail file. You will also be able to remove it later, if you want.

He removed it from his inbox but never assigned it to another folder.
