Oracle E-Business Suite & Notes Embedded Browser

My company uses Oracle E-Business Suite hosted by a third party.

When I try to use Oracle E-Business Suite using the browser embedded in the Notes client I find I can reach the site but that I cannot log in or request a change of password etc. - that is, when I click on any of the buttons (which trigger JavaScript) or hit the return key (to trigger ‘onsubmit’) absolutely nothing happens (in Notes 7 we get IE Script error messages displayed on screen - “object doesn’t support action” - but here we get nothing at all).

In other words, we cannot log in and use Oracle E-Business Suite using the browser embedded in Notes. We can, however, log in and use Oracle E-Business Suite when using IE or Firefox.

This is a major pain because I want to use it in a Composite Application and I need to progress the issue one way or another but am not as yet quite sure whether this is an Oracle issue or an IBM issue.

Can anyone explain why it should work fine with IE on its own but not when it is the browser embedded in Notes (which is IE, as I understand)?
