Opening a link to a page with only text

Hi,

In my Navigator, I have a hotspot link that users can click on, in this case I don’t want to link to any view or folder, all I want is to link to a page that would contain only (text information) a message, I’m not sure what I should use, I don’t want to link to the actual MS Word doc, but only copy in past the content to some page in Notes that would be accessed from that hotspot link, does anyone have a clue how or what I should use to do this?

Thanks

If you’re using Navigators:Create a document with the text you want displayed.

Create a doc link (edit copy as document link)

Create a hot spot on your navigator that opens a link

Paste in the link.

Magic…

If you switch to using outlines, you can just create a page and link to the page.

OK thanks, will this work even if the document is a Word doc? how can I create a doc link using an external document?

From your original post:…“I don’t want to link to the actual MS Word doc, but only copy in past the content to some page in Notes …”

Have you changed your requirement? If so, what exactly do you want the app to do? If not, then copy/paste the Word doc contents into a Notes page (if you use Outlines) or field in a Notes doc (if you use Navigators).
