Hi,
Should be straight forward…
I want to open a frameset in another database which resides on a server.
This will be a named element but I’m not sure of the syntax of the “Formula for Database” in the “Edit named Element Formula” dialog box.
Ideally I want to use the replicaID of the database, but I think that I must use the database path and database name.
I am opening a frameset in the bookmarks.nsf file on local. Within one of the frames of this frameset I want to be able to open a different frameset which is contained within the target database on a server.
Any ideas? Thanks, Alastair

Try “server!!path\dbname.nsf”, or “path\dbname.nsf” for a local db. Not sure if you can use replica id.
Hope that helps

Alastair,
As far as I know (and I could be wrong here) it can’t be done. Both the @Command([OpenFrameSet]) and NotesUIWorkspace.OpenFrameSet method will only work on a frameset that resides within the current database.
But in my experience, you can’t do it.

Managed to do it by opening the db with the repid. Then using the db.Server db.filepath properties.
However, Looks like opening a database in another database in a traget frame is not supported.
a new command would be useful:
@Command [OpenViewInDB];REPID;VIEWNAME
