Open Relay
I have configured my server to block the open relay.
In Configuration Document, Router/SMTP, Restrictions and Controls, SMTP Inbound Controls, the field
“Deny messages to be sent to the following external internet domains:(* means all)” is set to “*”.
In the Inbound Relay Enforcement section, Perform Anti-Relay enforcement for these connecting hosts is set to “External hosts”
But in my server mail.box, I could still see external domain mail passing thru my server destined to external domain. Where did I go wrong.
I am running Domino 7.0.2 FP2 on Windows 2003.
Thanks.

Did you restart the Router?

Thanks, Gregg.
I did “Tell router update config” and also restarted the server. But there isn’t any effect. Mails are still able to pass thru. Any thought pls. Thanks.

If you are able to telnet to your Domino SMTP server, can you manually relay mail off of the server? If you can’t telnet to your server, you could try a free open relay test:
