dose anybody know how to open a NotesSession from an Application Server like BEA or JBoss if you only know the RemoteUser, and have no Password because the user was loged in Formbased and not with simple Basic Authentification. I read that there is a Solution within IBM Websphere - but how to open the Session from other Application Servers without prompting for UserID and Password?
Subject: Re: open NotesSession from Application Servers
You are walking into a dangerous area of fustration and saying stuff like “if they (IBM/Lotus) would just…” and the like…
I don’t know the definitive answer but I researched the topic quite thoroughly some time back, since I had the same issue in regard to JBoss. There is a thread in the R5 Gold forum that you might want to read through. There is a thread more than the posted one but I can’t seem to find it (try searching to LTPAToken, SSO etc.).
If the syntax of the token was known it would be a lot easier. Again the security of the token should be based on the secrecy of the keys and not on the secrecy of the token format.
Again I must stress that I don’t know if there has been any developments since the post above or my findings so decide for yourself how much time to spend…
If you do find anything PLEASE (!!!) post to the forum.

P.S.: I never talked to Lotus Support about he issue so it may be the way to go
