Open new URL

Hi everyone.

My application is accessed in web.

I have a frameset with 3 frames.

Frame1 = TopFrame for Headers/Banners.

Frame2 = LeftFrame for my menu/navigator.

Frame3 = RightFrame as my target frame of Frame2

when I want to create new document or open view in web.

My problem:

I want open a new URL (ex. www.acme.com) on the

same window of my frameset.

When I click a button in Frame2 with JavaScript code

window.location=‘www.acme.com’, it opens the

www.acme.com website on Frame2 as if my navigator was replaced by the new website while the banners and document

remains in their respective frames.

I wish to open it on the window and not on the active frame which in the case is Frame2.

Is there a way to do that? I’m a newbie in Notes Web App Development.

Hi Shernan,

Do you want to open new url in “New Window” as Popup or in Frame3,

If you want to open in new window then user javascript

window.open(url)

else

if you want to open it in Frame3 then

window.top.frame3.location = ‘www.acme.com’
