Open Inbox - Database Cannot Be Found

I have a user who has the client preference “Show a Popup” enabled after new mail arrives. When the Popup is displayed and the user clicks on Open Inbox he receives “Database User Name cannot be found”. Yet, outside of this dialog box, if he clicks on the mail icon on his client, his mail database opens without error. I have checked the location doc, notes.ini, etc. but everything looks good. Anyone have an idea of what may be happening?

Check location document to be sure it’s pointing to the correct mail file (File - Mobile - Edit Current Location)

That particular error often appears when the mailfile owner name has been changed in database preferences. I would start by opening the mailfile preferences dialog and reselecting the mailfile owner from the Domino directory.

In more recent releases, that feature has been fixed so that it is more difficult for end users to “customize” the mailfile owner field.
