Open encrypted document without key

Hi,

when I open an encrypted document without having the right key, an errormessage tells me: “You cannot access portions of this document because it was encrypted and you do not have any of the keys”! I am using encryption as a security feature for some fields in a document. My users don’t want to see this message 100 times a day. Does anyone now, how to hide this messagebox (like R5 does).

We are experiencing the same issue with an application that uses encrypted fields. Were you able to find a solution? We have been in touch with Lotus Support and have been told that is the way it works in ND6. If that is in fact the way it is it will render the application virtually unuseable. Any help would be appreciated!

Did you ever manage to find a way around this. We are having a similar problem and like your application it will mean that we have to scrap it completely if there is no work around.

Amen. It is not a good thing. I’d rather my users not even know about a “key”. All it does is advertise that there is some juicy info in the database and challenges “hacker” type employees. In R5, ignorance was bliss.
