We have an application which sends mail to users. The from field is the name of a group. The problem is that all the ooo agents are sending back an email to all the people of the group.
Is there a global way to disable this side effect ? we tried to put a replyTo field with a noreply address but it doesn’t work !
Julie, we thought of this but I don’t know how to automate it… we have the emails that come in automatically forwarded to the DL. I’m not the familiar with notes but I need some sort of script that would check that box for every email it generates. Does that make sense?
There is no current way to directly do what you want in the current product. If we get a enough customer requests we will consider this as an enhancement for a future release.
For now, our customers generally take advantage of the subject field exclusions we do support. If they have a notice that sends out, for example, administration notices then they have all users OOO setting populate the subject exclusion item with a string like “Administratioin Notice” and make sure all the automated e-mails put that in the subject.
It is a year since this post. Does anybody know if this has been added.fixed? Sounds like the exclude feature worked before but then was removed due to a bug/confusion with end-users. My specific issue is we have set-up an ID for our support desk that forwards customer queries to a DL. If anybody on the DL has their OOO set then the customer gets back a notice that we are on vacation. You cna imagine how many complaints this has generated. We switched last month from Exchange. Should I leave the outlook/exchange environment up to support my help desk?
