I occasionally receive complaints from users that their OoO is not sending a full response to the senders. They receive a notification back, but the subject line just says “AUTO:” and doesn’t actually advise that the user is away or when they’re coming back.
The body says something along the lines of
Note: This is an automated response to your message “Test” sent on 04.01.2011 10:23:23.
This is the only notification you will receive while this person is away.
The OoO has been set correctly and is running as a service.
Any ideas how to resolve this? It happens for certain users only, but all the time for them. Most users are OK.
The only reason I can think of that would cause this problem is there OOO settings are wrong. Go to their mail file and do a More/Out Of Office from the pull down menu.
It should look something like the screenshot below.
