I have a user that enabled her OOO agent.I received messages stating that it is not sending OOO messages. Upon digging into it, I noticed that it was set to run on a server that neither contains a Replica of her mailfile nor is it her home mail server.
Using her ID, I edited the agent to run on her nome mail server.
Saved, Reopened - and the previous server was selected again.
Neither searching this forum or the FAQ pointed me in any direction…
Any suggestions?
thx

Subject: OOO Question - Not keeping home mail server selection
I believe the agent checks the current location to find where to run from. Try changing your current location’s home mail server line to correspond to her mail server and reset the agent.

Thanks, Nathan for your response. After a quick call to the user (who is actually just away from her desk for local training - thus the need for the OOOA), she confirmed that the current location doc shows the correct hom/mail server.
Any other suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

Subject: OOO Question - Not keeping home mail server selection
How did you reset the server? Did you revise the agent and set ‘server to run on’ or did you use tools to enable the OOO agent?
When the server to run on changes again (very odd!) did you look at last modified date and who modified it? There should be audit trail to see how this happens.
The only thing I can think of that something is wrong with your template - check how it is set. But then, of course, the problem would not be limited to this one user. But perhaps she is the only one away from the office at the moment so this is the only problem you see.
Subject: RE: OOO Question - Not keeping home mail server selection
Julie, Thank you for the response.I reset the server by editing the agent via Designer. The modified info shows my edit as the last one. ***It actually shows HER name as I was using her ID. ***
I just checked another random mailfile… and it is way too weird. It neither shows the user’s home server OR the same server as the first user. It shows another (3rd) server in yet another location. STRANGE !
The template that the first user is getting shows -Any Server-. Should the template be set for the OOOA to run on that locations server? (There is only one at that plant).
Thanks
