Some of my users can active without any problem the OOO agent, but others can not. I can’t find the reason.
When a user wants to active the out of office the following error appears in the Administration Requests Database:
“UserName needs Run unrestricted methods and operations rights on ServerName in order to have the Administration Process reschedule the agent OutOfOffice in mail\user”.
And in the log database the error is:
“Admin Process: Received the following error performing a Set User Name and Enable Schedule Agent request on UserName (File name: mail\user; Name: OutOfOffice): You are not authorized to perform that operation”
In the server document, the Security tab is configure:
Run restricted LotusScript/Java Agents: */org
Please help me!! I appreciate any suggestion.
Thanks in advance

Subject: OOO AND Administration Process Error
Dear Moni,
For your information, all our server document has is * rather the */org
Have you also checked their ACL’s to see if they have Manager access and is their OoO set to run on the correct server?
Just a few things that came to mind.
Mike.

Thanks for your response.
The OOO is set to run “After new mail has arrived”
The ACL has the mail server as the administration server.
The user has manager access to the database.
Any other clue?
Regards
Moni

Our OoO agents are set to run sceduled rather than after new mail has arrived, that way you can tell the agent on which server to run. Apart from that or changing the server document to * I can’t think of anything else.
Mike.

Thank you very much.
Hope I’ll find quickly a solution to this. If you think about something else to test please let me know.
Kind regards,

I see the asnwers to my previous query. The singnitre of the agent changed because you changed the defaults. The user is not editor level user.AdminP request are not necessary for user who has manager level access.
-
disable check “user activation” on the second tab
-
Give the mail owner rights to run restricted LotusScript agents in the server record
-
if they are manager they should have rights to create LotusScript agents in their ACL but you can double check to be sure as well
This should work without AdminP requests.

AdminP process is needed for mail owners who have editor level access. Is this your situation?
If yes…
Look at the signiture on the agent before the user enables it. Is that signiture someone in your organization? (rather than Lotus Notes Tempalate developers, the server name, or the mail owner name?) In that case you need to either restore the original signiture from the template or give the person who signed the agents the rights to sign agents that run on behalf of someone else.
