I'm looking to test OnTime, and have recently upgraded our servers to 14. This https://help.hcl-software.com/domino/14.0.0/admin/wn_installinclusions.html?scLang=en says OnTime should be included by default, and the OnTime quick start says there should be an ontime directory the Domino Data directory, but I don't see that on any of the Domino servers (4) I have. Do I have to download it manually then?
For Ontime installation, enable the check-mark for Ontime, then select Next. If you want to install the Nomad task on the Domino Server, select that option as well.
Hi, I've already installed Domino 14.0FP2 IF1, I don't have to roll back to add OnTime on? I'm running under Linux but I assume the same options are there during the install. Does OnTime need/recommended to be on the user's home/mail server or can it run off our admin server?
You need to rerun base V 14.0 Domino installer followed by FP2 & IF1 to get the OntimeGC. Please refer the video how you can select the OntimeGC in Linux Domino V14 installer.
After installing with the said option on Linux you can see the ontime folder as below.
OnTime® Group Calendar provides your organisation with an overview of where people are, what they are doing right now, and what they will be doing in the future. Further, OnTime provides you with a rich graphical interface, simple access, and unmatched server compatibility.
OnTime GC is installed on the Mail servers to sync the data. Whenever there are updates or modifications to calendar entries, the Sync process is activated to synchronize the changes between the different mail servers and the OnTime system.
OnTimeGC is installed the Mail servers as per the above link.
If you don't want to re-run the Domino installer then you need to get the OntimeGC package from OnTimeGC site and follow below install guide link to install as per page # 113.
