I have one particular user whose mail file will revert back to the R5 template over night. I’ll replace the design with the Domino Web Access (R6) template, and check to make sure that the design is being inherited from the correct template in the properties. Every morning it’s back to R5. There are 3 replicas total, two on our cluster in this office, and one replica on our remote server. This is the only mail file this is happening to. Any ideas?

I have seen problems with design flip-flopping due to the template on Cluster Server A being signed differently from Cluster Server B. Ensure that both Cluster Replicas are replicating properly and that they both inherit from the same design template (or better still only have one of the cluster servers run the design task)
You should be able to see where the design is being replaced by looking at the server log if it’s happening on the server.
If not check the local replica and check the replication settings on each database to ensure that everything is replicated including the design in each case.
Make sure that the same template name (not file name) does not identify two different templates on your cluster servers.

Chris, thanks for your tips, and I’ve checked most of this out, and it’s still happening, and driving me insane. It’s happening with two more clients now, as well. I couldn’t find any design replacement references in the log (do I need to turn any debuggin on?). There are no local replicas, just one on each cluster, and one on our New York server, which only replicates once a week. The templates are the same on each cluster server. Any other ideas? As is typical with me, right after I posted, and gave up, I found that one of the cluster servers is updating the design back to R5 when the design task runs. I’m investigating now.

The databases are still reverting, even after turning Design off on the one cluster, and making sure all the templates were set.
