Offline Filing and Deletion

When there is no network connectivity (for example on an underground train) e-mails from a traveler account cannot be deleted or filed.

Our users would like to be able to use the half hour or so that they are coming into the office to clear their inboxes.

Other non traveler accounts on the iphone do allow filing and deletion when there is no network connectivity. Is it an account setting or something that is forthcoming?

This is an Apple implementation limitation. For some reason, Apple decided to only implement certain operations while a connection to the server was not immediately available. This is the same when using Apple to talk to Exchange or Traveler because it is completely controlled by the app on the device. The ActiveSync protocol does not require online for operations, so this is only a decision made by Apple in implementing their applications. If Apple ever changes it, then it would change. There is nothing that Traveler can do about it.
