Before I upgrade the ODS version on all of my databases (we are migrating, not updating, over from an old R7 server) can someone tell me if this version is backwards compatible? We have other servers ranging from R6+ that may have replicas of these databases on and I can find any info stating if the servers these replicas are on will be able to handle the newer ODS version (they are currently set to 43)

On Disk Structure (ODS) is replica specific, so it should be OK, AKA upgrading the ODS on one replica should not affect others

According to ID202 from Lotusphere, the ODS is low level structure of the database and does not affect replicas on older server and clients. If you do update the ODS on the 8.5.1 server you should see the ODS is the same on the older servers. So it should work fine. Haven’t tried it myself so buyer beware.
