We are thinking about using the ODS 48 on our 8.02 servers for applicable databases. Unfortunately we have still some R6.54 and (even worse) 5.x Mailfiles on this server.
Are there any known problems unsing ODS 48 on older template types? I know we could rename the files to .ns6 or .ns5 to avoid upgrading but this won’t work for us for internal reasons.
So I like to know if it is save if one of theses databases is converted to ODS 48 on purpose or not on purpose.
Found already one thing that doesn’t work: User activity display in the properties looks corruped when viewed with a 6.5 client. But that’s only a minor issue as it still is correct in 8.x clients.
