ODBC Connection error while running scheduled agent

I have a scheduled agent that fails while trying to connect to the backend RDBMS at this line :Call Con.ConnectTo(Server , User, Password ).

Error : 720 : LS:DO- ODBC could not complete the requested operation.

When I activate the agent from the client by right clicking on the agent in the designer and specifying “Run”, then the agent executes satisfactorily. I did the same thing on server and it did its job. The problem is only when the agent is scheduled.

When you invoke the agent to run yourself, it will run using the odbc connection specified on your pc. So, it may be that the server does not have an odbc connection setup for your data source.
