Hi,
I have a Notes DB that reads and writes data from a DBF file. Reading/writing is done automatically by a scheduled Lotus Script agent. The DBF file was resided on the local C:\ drive previously and everything went OK. For some reasons we had to move the DBF file to another server, so we had to make changes to the ODBC drive: we mapped the new network folder to the “Z” network drive and point the DBF ODBC driver to this new “Z” drive. Now, when the agent starts running I get an error message from the Windows 2003 srv operating system that says “Invalid path. Make sure…” and get a small window to browse the PC in which I can browse the local drives only (although the “Z” drive is mapped and shown in the Explorer!). So I cannot set the “Z” drive and finaly the agent fails.
Then I put the same code (that call the ODBC drive and reads/writes data) behind an action button on a form. If I start it manually (click the button) it runs OK. So it seems it runs OK from the user interface but fails if the server runs it in the backend, I thought it was a kind of user right problem.
I set the Domino server to run as a Windows service in the background in the name of the Administrator, the same user as I use to log in to the user interface. Nothing has changed, the agent still cannot reach the DBF file on the “Z” network drive.
Has anyone faced this problem? Can anyone help?
Thank you in advance.
