Object Variable not set

Hi,

Object varaible not set appears - any ideas

Code is :-

set Checkdoc = Checkview.GetDocumentByKey(i.name,True)

I didn’t write the code and have not done much coding - so be gentle with your responses !!

It would appear that checkView is not set - is it referencved anywhere earlier in the code? Is it set to a view that exists?

Can you post the whole piece of code - you’re not grabbing one of the objects (checkview or i) before trying to use it.

Hi,

Previous line : -

Set CheckView = CheckDb.GetView ( “FieldCustom” )

Set Checkdoc = Checkview.GetDocumentByKey(i.name,True)

The view FieldCustom does exist in the database.

Whats i? a notes document? Need more code

if it is a document - then name is an item - so need i.name(0)
