When a customer opens a calendar entry, an error “Object variable not set” appears. The user can select OK and continue editing the meeting. If the meeting is selected and the preview pane is open, the same error will be thrown when initially opening the calendar.
The solution given is a script may be written to remove the $AutoEditMode field from the calendar document.

replace the design of the affected mail file with the current mail template on server.Check what template user is currently using and what is the client version.also check the domino server version.example- if domino version is 8 and client version also is 8 then replace the design with mail8 template and check, if user client is lower version then upgrade the client.Also you can run fixup, compact and updall command in affected db.

I checked before and IE was set as defaults and had all the defaults selected, Just re-applied it and seems to work, Strange haha!
