We get the following error occasionally on our newly upgraded Domino 6.5 server:nrouter.exe - unable to locate dll. the dynamic link library nzlib.dll could not be found…
this is fair enough since the file does not exist on any of the local hard drives.
i can find no info whatsoever on nzlib.dll so thought i would extract the server install files, and then extract (hopefully) nzlib.dll from one of the cabinet files. Of course, the cabinet files are not standard cabinet files so I cannot look inside them (unless anybody out there knows how to get inside them).
My only option left is to reinstall the program files using a default install and hope the nzlib.dll appears.

In the end we just reinstalled over the top (after testing of course) and added in the extra install option we were missing in the first place.Works like a treat.
On W2K and Domino R6.5.2 you’ll find that NZLIB.DLL is installed using the options “Program Files - Domino Web Services”.
Obviously Lotus has changed its location from the “Additional Network drivers” location to another portion of the code when it should be in the base code anyway!
we had the same problem on 2 Domino 6.0.3 servers, after upgrading from 5.0.12.
We solved the problem on both servers in the following way:
whilst first upgrading the servers, we deselected iNotes, DECS, DOLS and “additional Network Drivers”
Then a´fter the upgrade and testing, we got the error-message for the missing nzlib.dll if we tried to send out mails to internet-adresses. Internal mails work without problems.
We shut down the Server, start the installation from c516dna.exe again, deselect iNotes, DOLS and DECS, but leave “additional Network Drviers” ready for insall.
After this, the message no longer appears, nzlib.dll was then in /lotus/domino/visible. The mailrouting works as expected.
But Netbios- and SPX-Protocol from the “additional network Drivers” are still not in use.
