Number of total emails between server and local is different

We have set that most of our users use their local replica mail file, to reduce the server and network load. The setting, they will replicate every 5 minutes and send automatically for 1 pending outgoing email.

Problem is, there are few users who have problem with their local and server mail.

Sometime there are emails in the server, but not in the local or vise versa.

Usually, to solve the problem I will delete the email database in the local, then create a new replica database, or vise versa (delete the mail database in the server).

Is there any way to avoid this, or why this thing happen?

Or maybe a quicker way to solve the problem?

Thanks

Subject: every 5 minutes…

Every 5 minutes just seems to frequent to me. Any number of things…network latency, large email, large number of changes on the client replica…could cause the replication to take more than 5 minutes. Then you end up out of sync. I would increase the time to 15 minutes.

The count could be different due to deletions. I don’t think all the trash folder is replicated? I could be wrong.

Obviously, check replication settings/options. Try deleting replication history and re-replicating (instead of deleting the local replica).
