I have two servers, one as Web- Server with an official IP- Adress and one as an internal Server. Both are in different Networks. These networks are not connected to each other, and I am not allowed to establish a connection (via Crossover- Cable or through a Firewall or however)
The only thing I am allowed to do, is to temporarily connect both Servers via Null Modem Cable.
I know how to configure a port for using the Null Modem- mdm file.
I know how to cross-certificate
I know how to create connection documents.
But i do not know, what I have to type in in a connection document, to get this thing to work.
Which type of connection document do I need ?
Do I need a “virtual” phone-number? if so: Where do I have to configure this number.
Do I need to configure the connection in Windows 2000 ? Or does W2K not need to know about this connection (same as Modems: they do not need to be known in the OS, I only need the correct mdm-File)
Is there a step-by-step- tutorial for achieving this somewhere in the web ?
I search ldd, I searched the Knowledgebase, I searched the Web (via google), but I could not find any hints.
Thanx in advance
