i got the following problem:
i tried to create a replica via a CAPI Call “nsfdbcreateandcopy” from server a to server b. it works like a charm with non special charaters, but when i use german chars like “äöü” cause they are in the filename, i got the error 16643.
anyone an idea how to prevent this error without change the filename of the databases ?

I think you need to pass the filename as LMBCS i.e. use OSTranslate with OS_TRANSLATE_NATIVE_TO_LMBCS to construct an array of chars to use in nsfdbcreateandcopy
