Recently, my Notes client frequently crashes. Aside from the nuisance of that, the NSD dialog pops up, and for it to finish usually takes at least 10 minutes. I’ve looked at the machine during that time with Process Explorer, and activity, be it CPU, Disk or Network is absolutely minimal. How long should generating an NSD report take? Why is it seemingly doing NOTHING. I NEED the report for IBM to do anything about the crashes, but this is taking soooo loooong…
Please help!
Subject: Oh great. Another 10 minute wait and then NO NSD!
Subject: nsd
Have you tried to run the NSD manually? You can do this by running the nsd.exe command from the command prompt
Subject: you can also do a the time of the Crahs/hang
Lars, When the hang occurs have the user do - Start - all programs - Lotus applications - support - then :
Collect Lotus Notes diagnostic data and leave Notes running , when this is complete then run it again. then
Collect Lotus Notes diagnostic data and exit Notes
you can collect all the data under folders below and send them to IBM Support with the steps to reproduce if possible
Notes\data\workspace\logs
Notes\data\IBM_TECHNICAL_SUPPORT
