Hi,
after installing and konfiguration the Notes 6.0.3 Client (German) or 6.5 Client (German), connectet to a 5.0.10 Server (german), the client crashed. OS: Windows 2000 5.0 (Build 2195)
“NSD ist running…”.
Does anyone now the problem and have a solution?

Uninstall Notes client.Re-install notes client ensuring that you have full admin rights to the machine and assoiciated directories for the install.
If possible, re-install to a different path - Eg. Lotus/Notes/Data as opposed to Program Files/Lotus/Notes/Data - or vice versa…

You can also launch a command prompt window.Goto the Notes directory and issue the command
‘nsd -kill’
that should stop nsd.

NSD is running because the client has crashed. It is not that the client crashes because NSD is running. So stopping NSD won’t help.If the problem cannot be resolved by upgrading the software (in this case the server), support should be contacted.

i know the options of the nsd. Nsd isn’t the problem. That was it:
After RE-Installing the W2K Sp4 both clients are working correctly.
