Recently upgraded around 100 users from r5 to notes 6.5.3 For the most part everything is working perfectly. I’m getting the infamous NSD is Running error message. Let me go through what I’ve tried according to this forum and an IRC channel dedicated to notes.
Deleting cache=cache.ndk from users notes.ini file and deleting cache.ndk. - This seemed to work for the second half of the day, however, the next morning my user experienced more NSD is Running messages.
Uninstallation, Reinstallation of lotus and a rebuild of bookmark.nsf (changed bookmark.nsf to bookmark.old and opened notes to rebuild.) - Still recieved the error.
Uninstalled old printers pointing to servers which no longer exist. - Error still displays.
Compacting and fixup their workspace. - Error still comes up.
I’m really at a loss here, I have included the FATAL THREAD segments from the log file lotus creates in hopes someone may have come across this before, or has been given a resolution from notes support.
A little history of issues. User is running Win xp pro (fw disabled)with notes 6.5.3 with the inotes6.ntf template. User recieves this error when she replies or creates a new email in both of the mail files she has access to. One being her personal file, which has the upgraded template, the other being a shared mail file that is still using a r5 default template. This doesn’t seem to be happening in any databases she opens…only mail files.
