I had 5000 redundant private folders in a database. These folders were generated from private on first use folders.
Unfortunately we didn’t realise that ticking ‘create private views/folders’ in the ACL does not actually do as stated. What it actually does is allow those folders to be stored on the server. So here i was with 5k private folders i didn’t want.
I ran an agent, logged onto the server in the client (so i could see these folders). The agent checked for view.isprivate. It then deleted these views.
but yet again it appears that you cannot trust the help file.
The agent did delete the private folders. But it also deleted the server-side, original folders created by the developers…
Is ‘IsPrivate’ supposed to work this way? As far as i am aware this didn’t happen in notes 5. But they still haven’t fixed it and it is notes 7 now!!!
