Having major problems with the notes SQL driver install. It simply won’t. Or it does install and then when I attempt to add an ODBC connection I get:
The setup routines for the lotus notes SQL Driver (*.nsf) ODBC driver could not be loaded due to system error code 126.
Could not load the setup or translator library.
I’ve uninstalled it and reinstalled many times. I’ve also tried cleaning the registry manually of the ODBC entries for NotesSQL. No luck.
Windows XP
Notes 8.0.1 basic client.
Subject: Notes.ini
NotesSQL expects to find Notes.ini in the \Lotus\Notes directory. If the file is not in this directory, the driver may crash when you use the ODBC Data Source Administrator to create a DSN, or the NotesSQL Authentication List Manager may report that it is unable to find a valid version of Notes.
Solution:
If you must place Notes.ini in a directory other than \Lotus\Notes, add the directory to your PATH environment variable.
Subject: Problem solved
Adding the PATH var worked! Thanks a bunch. Our notes client always reside in c:\program files\lotus\notes
