I am using the following piece of code:

Dim rtitem As Variant

Set rtitem = acldoc.GetFirstItem( “VerifDetails” )

If rtitem Is Nothing Then

Set rtitem = New NotesRichTextItem( acldoc, “VerifDetails” )

End If

If ( rtitem.Type = RICHTEXT ) Then

details=Ustring(100,“-----”)

Call rtitem.AppendText( details)

Call rtitem.AddNewLine( 1 )

Details=details+ "GroupName: " + grname

Call rtitem.AppendText(details)

Call acldoc.Save( False, True )

End If

But when I check the document properties, there are multiple RT fields created. Can this be avoided or this is a BUG?

Subject: NotesRichText Item

This is not a bug. It is perfectly valid, and indeed part of standard Notes functionality, to have multiple items with the same name for certain data types. Most commonly, you will see this with rich text or MIME. Don’t worry about it.
