NoteSQL Driver Issue

I’ve been using the Notes SQL 9.0 driver for some time now and all of a sudden something on multiple Windows 7 x64 Enterprise systems broke the driver. From what I read it might be related to a MDAC component being updated. I’m hoping someone else has run into this issue as I’m out of ideas at this point.

When I install the 32 bit version of the NotesSQL driver it installs fine. If I try and open Nsql_ALM.exe I get an error stating:

The system could not properly load the version of Notes it found on this machine.

When I open the 32 bit version of the ODBC administrator (C:\Windows\SysWOW64) and create a new DSN things start out fine. However after I add my Domino Server I’m never prompted with my User ID as expected. I then manually key in the database, then try and manually add the User ID. When I do that I get a error that states:

Fail to add the new user

User name ???

From C:\Program Files (x86)\IBM\Notes\Data\UserID.id

The new user could not be added for the Notes ID specified.

Whatever the issue is seems to be related to the initial error. I added the Notes.ini environmental path, as well as the NotesSQL path, it makes no difference, I continue to get these errors.

Oddly enough I have another Windows 7 x86 Enterprise system that works perfectly fine, the same can be said on a Windows Server 2012 x64. Both systems only have IBM Notes 9.0 installed pointing to the same Domino server.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Subject: suggestion

I would suggest installing the 64 bit version
