NotesPeek and Deletion Stubs

I’ve searched this forum and can’t find my answer. One of my users deleted all of his contacts (245) and there is no backup copy of his PAB. I did a NotesPeek and found the deletion stubs for all 245 contacts. There is no soft deletes. Is there any product that can either restore the deleted contacts or at least view them so we can have his secretary typed them back in ? Can NotesPeek do this ?Thanks in advance.

If the database property “Don’t overwrite free space” is set (it’s cleared by default) and the user hasn’t touched the keyboard since the deletions occurred and you’re incredibly lucky, you might be able to recover some of the data with a disk editor – but the best case would be a jumble of crap with interspersed data that may or may not be related.

Sorry, but deleted data pretty much isn’t there any more. There’s only so much of a user’s blatant mistakes you can make up for!

Too bad I think.
