NotesDateTime object changed the Computer date!

I have a simple lotusscript to test dates.

Dim TodaysDate As NotesDateTime

Set TodaysDate = New NotesDateTime( “06/01/2005” )

Call TodaysDate.AdjustMonth(2)

Call TodaysDate.AdjustDay(-1)

Date$ = TodaysDate.LSLocalTime

Msgbox Date$

After running this, my computer system changes to July 31. Why?

Date statement Sets the system date.

Syntax

Date[$] = dateExpr

It’s in the Domino Designer help.
