Notes won't start - after setting Appearance

I went to Preferences - General - Appearance and changed the settings . Notes starts up (bullet under dock icon, splash screen) but then shuts down.

Don’t know exactly the settings - HOW DO I RECOVER? I tried an Uninstall/install, to no avail. Tried removing my Notes Preferences files - no success.

Subject: Found the culprit

File by file and folder by folder tried moving them out and restarting. The Expeditor Folder in ~/Library/Application Support/Lotus Notes Data was the cause of the failure. I have attached the damaged one:
