Is there a way to get a “new mail” alert without notes client installed?

The better will be to have the alert even without starting the browser…

Hi Marco,

In iNotes, if you go to Mail - General tab in the preference UI, there is a setting to display a popup alert when new mail comes (though you still need to launch iNotes to get notified).

Subject: POP3 monitor

There are a number of POP3 alert programs out there, which can monitor the user’s Notes mailbox. This assumes that POP3 is started on the server.
