Notes upgrade from 6.5.1 multiuser to 8.0.2

Hello,

I’m trying to upgrade a Notes client 6.5.1 installed as a multiuser to 8.0.2. after entering the user name, server name and specifying the id file, I receive an error message that a translation could look like this (original message is in french):

Note client requiers a valid (or up to date) bookmark, bookmark.ntf. Obtain an example of this template and restart Notes.

Template are usualy in the Data directorie, in my case , user are roaming type, and no ntf are in their Data directorie.

What exactly 8.0.2 is trying to do? Upgrade the bookmark.nsf? If it is the case, I did it manually and it is not solving the issue.

Your help will be apreciated

Thanks

P.s.: I’m using 8.0.2 in the basic mode (-sa)

from the folder \Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Lotus\Notes\Data\Shared I check if all the necessary ntf was there, everything seems to be fine.

Just in case the ntf was corrupt, I copied the file from my PC, but no luck

I just don’t get it.!

I got rid of the error message this way:

  1. give windows adm right to the user

  2. sign off / sign on

  3. Start Notes - working

  4. remove windows adm right

  5. sign off / sign on

  6. Start Notes - working

like if Notes need to write something in a secure folder.

If you have anything to add to this problem, please fill free to add it.
