No idea where to post this, as there’s no dedicated Traveler forum, and the Mobile Connect forum is looking a bit dead …
I’m getting an error:
25/06/2008 16:51:50 Notes Traveler: SEVERE CN=Mark Haller/O=LogicSpot An error occurred while attempting to update your database with data from the device (ERR_ITEM_NOT_FOUND).
Anyone know what this is, and how it can be traced and solved? I’ve hunted Google and nothing related comes up.
This results when you update (change the text of a draft, change the read/unread state, etc.) something on the device and it has already been deleted on the server. When the device sends it to the server, the server doesn’t have what the device is referring to and can’t “update” what it doesn’t know about.I mentioned changes that apply to mail, but it could be for the other data types as well (calendar, journal, etc.).
If it happens on every sync and everything else looks correct, you can try the Traveler - Menu - Tools - Replace Data on the device. This will delete all of your Traveler data on the device and get a new copy from the server (similar to how deleting a replica and creating a new replica works in Notes).
If the problem persists, you’ll need to open a PMR with a problem report from the device and the server logs for further investigation.
Thanks for the reply - very quick and totally correct. I re-synced the device from scratch and it’s now fine.
It seems a pretty basic thing to do, as a user … do you know if this is slated for the next release … and when the next release might be expected! Sorry … you might not, I don’t even know who you are!
Hi allI have same problem, and still persist. I have folders and sub folders in my mailbox and them appears duplicate on device. When I try to sync 2 folders with same name I have this error on server’s console.
Subject: folders and versions for Lotus Notes Traveler
It may be necessary to open a PMR and submit a Traveler Problem Report from the device to see what the problem is here, but curious if you have any problems syncing folders with different names? This may be a special case that needs better handling. What do your folders look like - can try a recreate.
BTW - to the earlier post:
LNT 8.0.1.2 is now available for Domino 8.0.1 and 8.0.2.
