Does anyone have suggestions / best practices on extending the names.nsf to a Domino 8.5.1 server running Traveler ? This server is in a DMZ and would be interested to learn how others have limited the amount of people information while allowing Traveler to function properly. - Thanks.
Subject: Notes Traveler - extending names.nsf
I am not sure about your question - but I assume Traveler is using Contacts as standard (= personal address book. We have a small application where individual users can select from users from NAB to include in Contacts. Our Business part developed this small application.
Subject: Address Book
Traveler relies on an address book on it’s local Domino server to open mail on other servers. The issue here is to limit the amount of information exposed on this Traveler Domino server as it is in a DMZ.
The following default information is used in Traveler’s name lookup. Our goal is to eliminiate even some of this. To get started I am using selective replication from the hub mail server internal to our network out to this Domino / Traveler server to limit the amount of metadata in the address book.
I would be interested in the approach others have taken.
