Notes Single logon with OS

I have implemented a R6.5.1 infrastructure and used the NSL service to synchronise the Windows XP login. The problem I have is that when the client changes their password via windows this does not passthru to Notes. However, if they change their password in Notes then this does change the Windows password.

I have read the forums and there seems to be some debate as to whether this should work or not. Extra details: I have a policy that synchronise Notes passwords with DWA passwords, and the policy also changes password strength to length.

Any help is welcomely received.

We have had mixed results. It certainly can work in both directions. If users receive the password expiring prompt in Windows and elect to change their password then, then this can fail. Maybe the NSL service has not yet started?

Howerver if they log on to windows and the press ctrl-alt-del and change their password it seems to work as expected.

Anyone else noticed this?

To be able to change the password of the notesid with a CTRL+ALT+DEL password change, it must reside on the local disk, the same is thruu for notes.ini. Also make sure the personal notes.ini is located in the personal datadirectory for multi user installs.

Good luck
