Notes Settings not working In Citrix Environment

We have noticed that a few settings do not “take” (as in work) when they are set in a Citrix environment.

Specifically…

If you click to “Retain view column sorting” not matter what you do, the sort is not retained in a Citrix thin client session. The same person logged into a full client on a PC works perfectly fine.

The same holds true for the setting “Do not automatically add names to Recent Contacts view”. Despite being set, items are being collected.

This issue is 100% reproducible in BOTH full and basic client configs on Citrix presentation server 4.5 running on Windows server 2008 64bit. (as an aside, a 64 bit client would be nice here)

I can workaround the Sorting issue with a design modification to the mail85 mail template, but the collecting of addresses does increase the footprint of the users’ local address books, and they do not want them.

More to the point, why does iNotes have the ability to sort new mail to the top, and the full client does not?

Subject: Spell check setting also does not stick

I’m at a loss to know why so many client settings do not stick when the user shuts down Notes. The policies in place either allow the user to set them or are not even set.

8.5.2 has more options for the Recent Contacts now. We had hard time with the dynamic build of it when enabled as it became a problem to a lot of users. The 3 new options definitely help on how it’s built.
