Well, it’s been about 4 months since we upgraded from R5 to 6.5.1 and since then i have heard numerous complaints that notes is very very very slow.
THe problem occurs when:
1: a new message windows pops up and the user would click to “open inbox”. The system will chug and chug for atleast 30-40 seconds before it opens the inbox.
2: if the the client is minimize for over 10 minutes, it will take about the same amount of time to bringup the application.
as long as your in the client working away, the performance of the client is excellent.
I am ruuning a PIII 866mhz with 1.5 gig of memory. Checked the server performance and the activity is between 4-11%.
I am open to suggestions as to what i can try, suggestions will very much be appreciated.
