I’ve got a user that’s now a former (VIP) employee. She needs/wants to get her mail & folders and contacts migrated to outlook or somewhere she import them into an online account.
I know we can export the personal address book to various file types. What about the email? I know that exports of messages give all kind of extra information and their’s no way to get folders. Are there any free or cheap tools out there that can be used to migrate the data from Notes to an outlook client?
Thanks in advance for any help?
Subject: Notes - Outlook Migration Question
I hate to answer such question, but anyway: Look in the Sandbox - there is a nice tool for migrating Notes contacts (address book) to Outlook.

Yeah - I don’t like asking the question either… I’ll look at the sandbox app.
I think we found a work around for now though. Seems that Outlook can’t accept a vcard with multiple contacts in it. (only imports one contact). If you use OE first to import all the users (from one vcard), you can then tell Outlook to get its contacts from OE and it pulls all the contacts.
Thanks.
Subject: Do it for free with IMAP . . .
If you can enable IMAP on your Domino server then you could point an Outlook client (configured for your VIP employee) at your server and suck Notes mail down to an Outlook .PST

Unfortunately, it looks like you still have to have the IMAP connection for the user to get to the bodies of the messages. I get the folders and the message lists but if I try and acess a specific message I get a connection error.
I haven’t found a way to make OE or Outlook pull messages and bodies down.
Thanks for the suggestion though.
