I’m using the Notes ODBC/SQL Driver v9 (with Notes Client 9.0 Social Edition) on a Win7 32Bit system to import data from Notes DB2 to a Excel 2010 sheet. That works quit well.
Now I’m switching to a new machine (Win 8.1 Enterprise 64Bit, Notes Client 9.0 Social Edition, Office 2013, Notes ODBC/SQL Driver v9 32Bit) and I can’t connect to the same Notes DB by using Excel.
Everytime I select the ODBC DSN in Excel I get the error: error initializing provider. [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] SQLAllocHandle on SQL_HANDLE_DBC failed.
Is this a known problem?

added location of the notes.ini to enviroment var path.

My machine has Notes client 32 bit social edition and Notes Sql 32 bit odbc driver as well. My OS is Windows 7 64 bit. All this setup was working fine with Office 2010 32 bit. I was able to extract data from Notes to Excel. Now, Excel is upgraded to 2013 64 bit and now connection don’t work with this. I tried installing 64 bit Notes Sql ODBC driver but that didn’t helped as my Notes client is 32 bit. Is there anything which can be done to extract Notes data in Excel 2013? Please advice.
