Notes not replicating but it is connected

Hello

I have a pc which is connected on the network to our notes server. However when we try and replicate it fails saying it cannot find the server.

We have checked the connection documents on the local users address book and we have 2 connection documents which say:

Office: have the server name and ip address and the TCP/IP box checked

Direct Dial up:

has home/notes/net and home/notes/net in both the basics and advanced tabs.

It has the COM3 (for the modem dial up) checked.

We have tried reinstalling the client 6.5.1 however this did not resolve the issue.

Any ideas what settings could be affecting this?

We have tried :

reinstalling

adding the notes server and ip to the host file.

and by doing a port trace

all to no joy.

If your Office location document is correctly set, you don’t need connection documents in the PAB.

Check your location document. There should just be the home server mentioned and TCPIP box checked. DNS resolution should be provided by the appropriate network server.

looks as though its not resolving by DNS which is a bit strange.

Im going to go to site tmw to have a look but from what ive told them to do it still looks strange. As you said it should just create the replica…
