I get a lot of mail all the time at work here, and would like to still have notes keep checking for new mail every minute, but am getting tired of the constant message…“you have new mail.” Is there a way to stop getting that message? I pretty much always know I am going to have new mail. Thanks.
Subject: Notes new mail message, can it be disabled.
File >> Pref >> User >> Mail
I uncheck the “check for mail” checkbox and I still get the new mail icon but don’t get any annoying messages or beeps.

From the top tool bar choose file drop down to preferences then choose user preferences. Click on + in front of mail, then choose general. Uncheck the box near the bottom that says “show a popup”
