Notes.ini variable DNSServer= being discontinued in 8.5.2

According to SPR # BSTS838NYV, the notes.ini variable DNSServer= is going to be discontinued in 8.5.2. What will be the recommended way to reroute your MX requests to a specific DNS server, as required by GDI software, or if using a third party gateway like Postini?Thanks

Any suggestions other than using a Smart Host configuration ? Postini’s documentation recommends the Private DNS Server approach, using the DNSServer=ipaddress in the notes.ini?
